Washing DC and Katie and Cora!

Katie and Scotty were so kind to have me come out to visit for a few days. Brinn and Michael were so kind to watch the girls while Cannon and I flew to DC. We had so much fun, despite the constant rain (but the last few hours of my stay). Luckily we were able to do a quick tour here and there of the City. Beautiful! Someday we will be able to go out and really soak it up. But for now, it was perfect!
It was so fun seeing Katie and Scotty interact with their teeny-tiny little darling baby girl. Katie is such a good Mom, so responsive to Cora's every need! And Scotty obviously smitten. Although she has grown so much in the last 5 weeks of life, Cora is sooo little! I loved holding her! Even changing her diapers (which I had a couple of occations to do) was fun! So tiny! Oh, and so cute, too! Thank You Katie and Scotty, Michael and Brinn, Mom and Dad for giving me that wonderful opportunity!!!

Cannon at the Palmers!

Cannon really enjoyed his one-on-one with me last week when we visited Katie, Scotty and their new little darling, Cora. He did miss his Daddy and his sisters, though, after a while. We had such a great time!

Cannon and Mommy visit DC

First, Cannon is pointing to the airplanes which he loved--especially the REal rides. Then you see Dorothy's shoes and the real scare-crow. George Washington's suit -- An original Sunstone from the Nauvoo temple -- the First Airplane (with renewed canvas, of course) of the Wright Brothers -- Cannon pointing to his favorite yet, a stuffed Tiger springing at us (sorry we didn't get a shot of it), --Brigham Young in the Capital -- and Cannon on Katie's scary-high deck.

Teddy Tackle Bear

Auntie Katie gave Cannon a very loved Teddy Bear on our visit to her home. It was his friend when he was lonely for some young company. He would set the bear up on the ground with the football in front of it, then back up and grunt, "Down-Set-HUT!" and plow over the bear with a body slam!

Eat and Sleep Ballet

Gradma Willvie gave the girls Ballet costumes ( and REAL makeup--brennan was thrilled, let me tell ya) for their birthday this Summer. I have to hide them occationally so they will wear anything else. In fact, they had been in their jamies when we tucked them in bed that night, and when we went to tuck them in before we went to bed, this is what we found! Ballet slippers and everything! I have enrolled them in a ballet, jazz, and tap class that they will begin next week. THey are extatic!

Yummy Breakfast at Mimi's and Papa's

a Yummy summer Breakfast

MMMmmmm... doesn't that make your mouth water?! (or hurt, as it looks like he is going to eat the fork, as well). Just a fun Yummy breakfast at Mimi's and Papa's house a few days before we left for MO.

"Beauty of the 'Heart'" hair Salon

Aspen and Halli opened a little Salon in their darling new bedroom and fixed eachother's and my hair. I told them that they needed a name, and Aspen quickly came up with "Beauty of the Heart!!!" Cute, eh? THat is about how you have to look at it after you leave their salon! But Brennan always likes my hair when he comes home after I have gone to the salon. It is really quite relaxing and I purely enjoy each visit! We were in a hurry to head to the Zoo after they fixed my hair, thus the "bad Momma" pictures taken by myself in the car! Hmmm... :)

Cannon's Friend

Cannon and his darling new little friend, Sky (from two doors down), were really into an old Audrey Hepburn movie. Cannon was playin' "Fat Dawg"

Soccer

The girl's last day of Soccer was today. THey really enjoyed themselves. They learned about the rules, teamwork, and "had a lot of fun," as Aspen dictates. They were the only girls. Cannon regrets not being on the team, but he was too young, although he was almost as big as a couple of the players, and probably just about as good! I had trouble keeping him off the field and from stealing the balls (although he always had one of his own.) He was never very pleased with me when I had to escort him off the field or out of the goal box.
Anyway, aren't they cute?
